WNKU Membership Assistant, Kim Kaufman, found a stack of Live at the World Cafe Volume 35 CD's in the prize cabinet! Since we've moved on to World Cafe Volume 37 as one of this year's thank you gifts, we weren't sure what to do with the older volumes until Kim said we should give them to anyone who pledges $60 or more! Good enough. But hurry! These are in limited supply.
Thanks to everyone who made a contribution to WNKU and to the thousands of other worthy non-profit organizations around the world on #GivingTuesday. It is estimated that over $54 million will have been donated in this single day when the contributions are all in. While it's still a long way from equaling the total dollars spent on Black Friday, the rate of return for #GivingTuesday over the past 3 years would make any Fortune 100 company green with envy. The new movement has increased charitable donations by 100% each year since it was founded in 2012.
So, kudos to all of you who participated through donations of both money and time, and through spreading the word via social media.
Of course, all of these same non-profits can use our assistance 365 days a year. So, give as much as you can as often as you can, and know you're making the world a better place.
First there was Black Friday, and then Cyber Monday. Those were dedicated to consumer spending, but now we have a day that's all about charitable giving. It's today, and it's called #GivingTuesday.
We understand there are many worthy non-profit organizations deserving of your support and we hope WNKU is one of them. If this radio station has brought you joy or comfort in 2014, please start your #GivingTuesday with a donation to WNKU.
If you're a Sustaining Member of WNKU and one of the millions of Americans who have recently been reissued a credit card, please take a moment to update your payment information with us. Please call Aaron at 859-572-6563 to update your information today. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who contributed to WNKU during our Fall Fund Drive. You helped us surpass our goal of 900 pledges and $112,000, and we are so grateful for your support. We can't say it enough. WNKU Members are the only reason we've been able to do what we do for nearly 30 years now.
During what should be the last day of the fall fund drive, you'll hear us talking a lot about "Get Real Gone - Road Songs for Public Radio." It can be yours when you become a sustaining member at $8 a month or make a one time gift of $96 to support WNKU. Join at $12 a month or make a one time gift of $144, and we'll send you two copies.
For years, the William Howard Thie Foundation has been a major supporter of WNKU and other music arts organizations, such as The Blues Foundation. Today, the William Howard Thie Foundation is encouraging you to join them in support of WNKU by offering to match all gifts up to a total of $5,000. This is such a wonderful gift to WNKU, and one in which we hope you will take advantage of.
