Derek Trucks stopped by for a special visit with Gary Keegan On Thursday April 26th. Since the merge of the couple’s two bands, the album "Revelator" won its spot at number one on our Top 89 of 2011, voted every year by WNKU listeners. Though Derek was alone in WNKU’s studio, he sure is not alone on the brand new album.
Mike Doughty stopped by WNKU's studio and played a few special songs in the AM hours with Elaine Diehl. Mike is a world-renowned solo artist and former lead singer-songwriter of Soul Coughing.
Brooklyn-based indie folk rock duo Barnaby Bright, mix several unique instruments, including an African instrument in the tune, If I Came Back As a Song. The couple's lyrics are brilliantly clever and charming, and present themselves with such warmth, especially on stage together. It's apparent their connection fuels their music and perhaps much of its success.
