It's highly doubtful that, when Robert Johnson recorded "Stop Breakin' Down Blues" in 1937, he ever had any idea how hard it could rock. For one thing, the term "rock" didn't even have that connotation at the time, but over the next few decades, several artists would record their own renditions of the tune.

Of all the bands that have re-formed in recent years, Guided by Voices' return in 2010 not only seemed the least surprising; it felt inevitable. After all, frontman Robert Pollard never truly went away. Pollard officially disbanded the group at the end of 2004 following its "final" album, Half Smiles of the Decomposed, and a "farewell" tour. But in the seven years since, the impossibly prolific rocker has released 13 (!) solo recordings.

Folk artist Tracy Grammer to perform in Cincinnati

Cincinnati,OH – Internationally known singer-songwriter Tracy Grammer will perform November 18th in the first Queen City Balladeers special concert of the season. Grammer started her folk career in the 90's with her partner, Dave Carter.Carter's untimely death in 2002 was a shock and very sad for the folk community but Tracy continues to share his work and adds a new dimension of her own.WNKU's Cheri Lawson asked Tracy to share her take on "folk" music and other aspects of her musical career.
