Bockfest season festivities are well underway as we get ready for Bockfest Weekend,  March 6th - 8th. The season began with the annual Beefsteak Club fundraiser at the old Windisch-Muhlhauser Brewery in Over The Rhine.  Soon after, the preliminary rounds of the 2015 Sausage Queen pageant got underway.  Here's what else you can expect between now and the main event.

The snow is melting and the Season of Bockfest is upon us!  Sausages have been stuffed, our local Beer Barons have tapped their latest Bock Beer creations, and dozens of enthusiastic young women (and men) have been nervously preparing for the day they may be crowned Little Kings Sausage Queen.

WNKU has been a part of Bockfest for over a decade now, but the festival is celebrating it's 20th year in 2012.  To help celebrate, WNKU and the Real Mary Peale will broadcast live from Bockfest Hall on March 3rd from Noon to 4pm.

20th Bockfest Celebration Dinner takes place Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 6PM.

In the spring of 1896, the Windisch-Muhlhauser Brewery hosted some of the most prominent Cincinnatians. Guests enjoyed an elegant meal with beer pairings in the unlikely ambiance of the brewery. Cincinnati's political and social elite enjoyed the experience so much that it became a regular occurrence, and the standard guest list called themselves members of the Beefsteak Club.
