The Banks Already Generating Economic Impact

The initial phase of The Banks project on Cincinnati's central riverfront is already generating a significant economic impact. That's the finding of a new study by the University of Cincinnati Economic Center. WNKU's Steve Hirschberg talked about the study with Scott Stringer. He's an executive vice president with Atlanta-based Carter, one of the master developers of The Banks.

Carrie Newcomer Bringing Her Music to Loveland and Dayton, Ohio

 

Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Carrie Newcomer will be in Loveland, Ohio at Grailville Retreat Center leading a writing workshop sponsored by Grailville, Women’s Way of Ohio and Kentucky and Women Writing for a Change.Newcomer is also performing at Grailville, May 20th and at a fundraiser for the Dayton International Peace Museum at Shiloh Church UCC May 18th.

There might not be much public awareness about the class, but it's offered once every quarter.  WNKU's Steve Hirschberg asked Police Officer Katie Werner how people can sign up for the course.
