WNKU welcomes the return of Delloween

Halloween is a time for costumes, sweet treats, and trickery, but it is also known for hot music collaborations.  Delloween continues this notion bringing together tradition and innovation in a musical caldron the likes of which have never been seen sharing a stage before.

Del McCoury Band will be joined by Larry Keel & Natural Bridge and The Hackensaw Boys for Delloween on October 31 at the Madison Theater in Covington, Kentucky.  All three acts are festival veterans hitting just about every major festival in the country over the past summer.  Del even has his own festival, DelFest, which takes place in Cumberland, Maryland every year on Memorial Day Weekend.  More on that in a moment.

All the Delloween artists are known for pushing the boundaries of music and Delloween will follow suit with innovative sets that all but erase the boundaries of a regular theater gig.

Now, about Delfest.  We're partnering with Rainmaker Management and our friends at the Children's Hunger Alliance to help feed some hungry kids.  At this year's Delloween show, CHA will be raffling off a pair of 4-day passes to the 2013 DelfestRaffle tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10.  So bring a little extra cash to the show so you can support a good cause and maybe even win tickets to next year's Delfest!

Children's Hunger Alliance also welcomes your donated items at Delloween to support the agency's "Eating the Rainbow of Colors" project.  Items to donate include, but are not limited to: crayons, markers, chalk, cooking spoons, placemats, and similar items. Your donations will be included in the next set of CARES Kits.
