WNKU To Broadcast Live from the Ohio River Throwdown
WNKU welcomes the 2nd annual Ohio River Throwdown to Riverbend Music Center this Saturday, September 6th. Tickets are still available. The event will feature 13 bands on 3 stages, with music getting started at 12:30 and lasting well into the night. Stop by and see us at the WNKU broadcast tent as we go live from the Throwdown from 2pm to 6pm. John Patrick will be on-site interviewing the likes of Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Jason Isbell, Justin Townes Earle, Johnnyswim, and hopefully (fingers crossed), Grace Potter.
The Ohio River Throwdown was created to celebrate the roots of American music on the banks of the Ohio River where some of the most legendary Blues, Country, Bluegrass, R&B and Rock N Roll records had their birth! Nearly every act is one you'll hear on any given day on WNKU.
