What's New With MidPoint?
MIDPOINT MUSIC FESTIVAL EXPANDS WITH FILM COMPONENT FOR 2012:
Indie Music Converges with Indie Film to Present the Inaugural MidPoint Film Festival™
This just in from the MidPoint Folks themselves: Beginning this year, the folks of MPMF will partner with Midland Film Institute, expecting it will "extend the festival's programming for 2012, adding to the work of independent filmmakers to compliment the music." And what a compliment indeed, look no further for a way to satisfy your indie-fix(es).
Festival goers can expect a wide range of experimental filmmakers. Whether you are in the mood for quirky, heart-warming, funny, scary, local or international, this festival is sure to do the trick. The festival is to begin September 27th, Thursday evening, including a community welcome, and introductions of filmmakers working on a local documentary, followed by a surprise screening that is currently top secret. Friday night will kick of with a double horror feature presented by Samhain Publishing. Other interesting things which you can expect to see is the Mile in My Shoes Project™ brought to you by local Audio/Visual students from Cincinnati State, featuring a vast variety of women soldiers, active and veterans alike.
MPMF's Executive Producer, Dan McCabe is ready for the changes to set in and the general sharing of art to begin. "I'm especially excited about the intersection of music and film. We all, filmmakers and musicians alike, will be able to experience each others crafts." said McCabe.
