Teachers Buy School Supplies for Students Who Can't Afford Them

A new national survey shows that teachers annually spend an average of $485 out of their own pockets for school supplies for their students. WNKU's Steve Hirschberg talked about the situation with Stephanie Winkler, the new President of the Kentucky Education Association. Winkler, who has family ties to Northern Kentucky, has been an elementary school teacher for 16 years.
