The Sierra Club Ohio Chapter is Looking for Volunteers to Monitor Water Quality

Each Spring the Ohio Valley faces storms, flooding and run-off overflow which can affect the quality of the water we drink. In response, the Ohio Chapter of the Sierra Club is monitoring lakes, rivers, and streams through their “Water Sentinel” program. Spokesman Matt Trokan says the club enlists the help of everyday people, and trains them as citizen-scientists. WNKU’s Matt Kelley talked to Trokan to learn more about the program.
