Second Sunday on Main Going Out with a Bang

2013 marks the eighth year of Second Sunday on Main (SSOM),  the eclectic neighborhood street festival of historic Over-the-Rhine. The fifth and final event of the season is Sunday, October 13 from noon to 5 p.m.

Expect wonderful local goods vendors, activities for the whole family, food trucks, live music, an outdoor beer garden by Christian Moerlein, and sales and specials from the shops, galleries, and restaurants of Main Street.   Visit www.secondsundayonmain.org for details.

This month features the Cincinnati Art Academy’s mARTket. mARTket features 30 students’ artwork for public purchase, from fine art, screen-print, letterpress, photography, apparel to made goods. mARTket sales are valuable to the community as they provide an influx of contemporary art from emerging Cincinnati artists.  They also add value to AAC students' education by providing an environment where students interact with the public to discuss their artwork and negotiate price.

The free demo will start at 2:30 p.m. inside Mr. Pitiful’s.  No reservation required, but seating is first-come, first-seated.  Doors open at 2pm.

If all of that is not enough, these guys will be there...
