Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band headlines WNKU Music Stage at this weekend's Paddlefest

Jun 6, 2012

WNKU has been a proud sponsor of Paddlefest and the Ohio River Music & Outdoor Festival for 8 years now, and each year we've managed to host a pretty impressive line up of local and regional musicians.  This year, we're very excited to announce that The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band - the only band to ever play the Vans Warped Tour with a washboard - will be headlining the Friday night festival.

Paddlefest is the all-encompassing name of a three day event this Thursday through Saturday that includes the Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo, the Ohio River Music & Outdoor Festival, "Paddle the Ohio" Canoe & Kayak Races, and the Finish Line Festival.  There's a ton going on, but for now, we'll focus on the music.

The Ohio River Music & Outdoor Festival is absolutely FREE and takes place at Coney Island this Friday, June 22nd from 9:30am t0 11pm with a multi-act "Roots on the River" concert presented by WNKU.  Again, we have some great acts lined up.

5:00 - 5:50p:  Jake Speed & the Freddies

6:10 - 7:00p:  Tex Schramm & the Radio King Cowboys

7:20 - 8:10p:  The Lewis Brothers

8:30 - 9:30p:  Magnolia Mountain

9:50 - 11ishp:  The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band

Did we mention this is free?  Oh, and if you're still on the fence about whether or not to go, just watch this video of the Reverend and company...

So, it looks like we'll be seeing you there.  Be sure to stop by the WNKU booth to say "hello"!
