We've long loved her as a musician, and now, Kim Taylor is gaining a solid reputation as an actress.  Taylor recently starred in director Matt Porterfield's forthcoming independent film, I Used to Be Darker, about a pregnant Northern Irish runaway who seeks refuge with family in Baltimore, MD, only to find her aunt on the verge of divorce. Taylor plays the aunt (who like Taylor, is a singer-songwriter named Kim).

But like we said, we think of her mainly as one of Greater Cincinnati's finest musical exports of the last couple of decades.  That's why it's kind of a big deal when we say her forthcoming CD, Love's a Dog is Taylor's best work yet.
