Over the Rhine Kicks off Studio 89 on September 16th
We are no longer accepting reservations for the next Studio 89. We have a full house!
You will have received an e-mail by now if you made the cut off and have reservations. Remember, WNKU members receive first priority for seating. To become a contributing member of WNKU and get first shot at seating, visit our secure online pledge form.
With the release of Meet Me at the Edge of the World, Over the Rhine is seemingly everywhere these days. True, it's their first studio release in eight years and it's good enough to be chosen as WNKU's CD of the Month for September, but even we have been a bit taken aback by all of the great press it has received.
Paste Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Cincinnati Magazine, and NPR's Morning Edition are just a few of the reputable media outlets to recognize Over the Rhine in the past few weeks. This is where we toot our own horn and remind you that we were the very first radio station to ever play Over the Rhine, but that was a LONG time ago. More importantly, this is where we tell you how they've come full circle and will return to WNKU next Monday, September 16th at 7:00pm to kick off the fall season of Studio 89.
Would you like to be in the live audience? WNKU members can sign up here and register for up to two seats. If, by Friday at noon, the studio audience is not filled by WNKU members, we'll open it up to non-members. Of course, Studio 89 is broadcast live every Monday night, so if you can't see it in person, you can always listen live.
Not yet a WNKU member? You can become a supporting member of WNKU here and get first shot at signing up for the Studio 89 audience every week. You'll also get exclusive concert pre-sale offers for many of our favorite artists when they come to town. That means, as a WNKU member, you can buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Finally and most importantly, your WNKU membership means this station can continue providing you and our entire region with original, creative, independent, commercial-free music 24/7/365 for many years to come.
