Highland Heights, Kentucky – We've all seen video footage of the earthquake, tsunamis and nuclear plant explosions in Japan during the past week. Although those types of calamities are not likely to strike us directly here in the Midwest, we do have to be on the lookout for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms, especially as April approaches. With that in mind, Northern Kentucky University has created a warning plan to help keep students, faculty and staff safe in the event of severe weather. WNKU's Steve Hirschberg talked about the plan with Jeff Baker, NKU's Environmental Safety Coordinator.
