By Matt Kelley
The Kentucky Historical Society is digitizing a newly acquired collection of letters dating back to the the mid-nineteenth century.
KHS spokesperson Louise Jones says the Watson-Robinson letters provide a rare glimpse into the lives of both free and enslaved African American families in Kentucky. WNKU’s Matt Kelley asked Jones how the society came into possession of the letters. ( for more information about the Watson-Robinson letters visit www.history.ky.gov and click on collections)
