The Obama administration this week is taking steps to make it easier for Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to receive benefits.
WNKUs Cheri Lawson spoke with a native Cincinnatian who suffered PTSD after a tour in Iraq as a military nurse.
Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Mary Carlisle is profiled in the Real Warriors Campaign, a group that encourages military personnel to get help for PTSD. She's been featured in a video and given talks for several organizations including the 2010 Military Health Conference, talking about her struggle and eventual healing.
