Kids Collect Cell Phones-Save Gorillas
The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden’s “Project Saving Species” and the Gorilla Glue Company are teaming up for the second annual Go Bananas Challenge. Zoo Spokesman Thayne Maynard says the competition challenges school and community youth groups to “answer the call” and create campaigns to collect and recycle cell phones and help save gorillas.
WNKU’s Matt Kelley caught up with Maynard to find out more about the connection between gorillas and cell phones. (you can find out how to get more information about the Go Bananas Challenge at www.cincinnatizoo.org/savingspecies)
