Keeping Kids Safe on the Social Media Highway

05/16/10 – Keeping kids safe on the social media highway will be the topic of an up coming workshop in Northern Kentucky.

Social media guru Michelle Beckham-Corbin will present the seminar next month at Northern Kentucky University's METS Center.

WNKU's Cheri Lawson spoke with Beckham-Corbin about her concerns as a parent and about some of the most popular social media services. She also talked about the latest site that presents a unique challenge to parents and others concerned about the welfare of young people.

Beckham-Corbin says her co-presenter Brent Laman is a parole officer who will present valuable legal information.
