Indiana University Professor Teaches Shakespeare to Inmates

Indiana University’s Dr. Laura bates will be discussing her new book, “Shakespeare Saved My Life: Ten Years in Solitary with the Bard” tomorrow at the Kenton County Public Library. The book focuses on her experiences teaching inmates at super-max prisons. WNKU’s Matt Kelley asked Dr. Bates how she became interested in teaching Shakespeare behind bars.
