Earth Calendar for September 2nd and September 3rd
Accompany a naturalist into the dark and discover a rarely-encountered world of wonders. Cincinnati Nature Center’s annual nighttime celebration "Preparing for Night" welcomes the community to explore nature’s wonders - at night! The festivities take place on Saturday, September 14th from 5:00 pm – 10:00 p.m. at Cincinnati Nature Center’s Rowe Woods, 4949 Tealtown Road in Milford, OH.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and experience an evening full of nighttime fun. From 6:00 pm -9:00 pm, picnickers will enjoy music as well as free ice cream at the Krippendorf Lodge. Take a night hike and meet the CNC naturalists along the Discovery Trail, meet the creatures of the night, including frogs, moths and bats. See live owls up close with RAPTOR, Inc. and view the brilliant nighttime skies though telescopes placed throughout the field. The fun will include games in the Nature PlayScape!This annual community event helps connect people to our land as they explore nature at night. It is a great opportunity to enjoy outdoors with your family and friends at this unique and very popular annual event. Admission is just $6 for adults and $3 per child for CNC members; only $14 for adults and $6 per child for members. On Our Calendar: The community is invited to join Imago’s final celebration of summer featuring local food and drink vendors, great music from The Tillers, Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers, Wild Carrot and the Roots Band, Red Cedars and Jake Speed and the Freddies. The fun starts September 14th at 2:00 pm with great family friendly activities and then the music starts at 4:00. Bring the whole family and stay the whole day!
