Earth Calendar for September 26th and September 27th

Batteries Plus in Dayton, Ohio wants to lend its support to the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center during National Dog Week, September 24th – 30th.  ARC representatives will be on hand from Noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 29th at 3515 York Commons Boulevard in Dayton to provide information on dog licenses, microchips and dog healthcare. They will also bring abdoptable dogs who are looking for forever homes.  Vandalia Rental is donating temporary fencing, so adopters have an area to get to know their potential new family member. Smashburger will sell hot dogs and soda. A D.J. will play tunes and Pet Land will offer doggie nail trims to raise funds for the animal shelter.  Five percent of all sales at the Batteries Plus Dayton store on September 29th will also go to the ARC website for more information.

On Our Calendar:  National Alpaca Farm Days will take place on Saturday & Sunday, September 29th & 30th from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Eagle Bend Alpaca Farm, located at 7812 East Bend Rd. in Burlington, KY. Eagle Bend annually opens the farm to the public for two days in September. An educational event by nature, it will be time well-spent, observing a working alpaca farm. Activities for the kids plus live bluegrass music will all lend itself to a wonderful fall outing. Bring your camera to take photos of the alpacas and llamas!
