Earth Calendar for October 26th and October 27th
Conservation and Natural Resources Scholarships are available to students in the fields of natural resource conservation, forestry, soil science, ecology, wildlife science or agriculture. The Campbell County Conservation District will award up to three $1,000 scholarships named for the late W. Robert Ellis, to students who are Campbell County residents. High school students planning to enter college, as well as students currently attending college, are eligible to apply. Applications must be postmarked or submitted to the district office by Friday, January 25, 2013. Several other scholarship opportunities are available for students pursuing careers in agriculture and natural resources. On Our Calendar: A household waste collection day will be held at Florence Freedom at 7950 Freedom Way in Florence, KY on November 3rd from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Northern Kentucky residents can dispose of electronics, computers, TVs, oil, florescent light bulbs, antifreeze, car batteries, toner, ink cartridges and more. Some exceptions apply. All residents who plan to drop off items must complete and print a registration form prior to attending the event. The completed form must be turned in the day of the event.
