America Recycles Day is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and buy recycled products. ARD is celebrated annually on November 15th.






Thousands of events are held across the U.S. to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and to encourage Americans to sign personal pledges to recycle and buy products made from recycled materials.

America Recycles Day, a program sponsored by Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Every year on or around November 15th, event organizers and citizens, educate neighbors, friends and colleagues through thousands of events. Keep America Beautiful has created "Go-to-Guides" to make it easy to organize your local event. Included in these turnkey materials are customizable templates including posters, media materials, proclamations and activities you can use to promote recycling awareness, commitment and action in your community. Athis is a good opportunity to take your old computers or other electronics to a local recycling center. This helps keep lead, cadmium, and other substances out of the landfill. On Our Calendar: The One Stop Drop e-cycling event will be held on Saturday, November 16th in the parking lot of Whole Foods Market in Rookwood Commons from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The One Stop Drop is for residents only. Please do not bring materials from businesses, churches, schools, and other organizations. Computers and other electronics, audio equipment, circuit boards and computer fans will be collected. All hard drives will be erased and shredded during processing.
