Earth Calendar for November 2nd and November 3rd
November 17th is the next scheduled work day for the Licking River Greenway and Trails, an ambitious Northern Kentucky effort to create an urban greenway from the mouth of the Licking River to the I-275 loop.
The trails system will seek to connect neighborhoods and businesses on both sides of the river improving safety and increasing property values. The hope is that the greenway will eventually extend beyond connecting assets in southern Kenton and Campbell County to the urban core of the region. Volunteers are needed so mark your calendars to attend a Greenway Restoration Day. These work days not only benefit the natural habitat along the river, but they provide volunteers with the chance to make new friends, experience a healthy workout, and to become involved in a community-changing project! RSVP to the Covington Recreation Department at (859) 292-2151 or for information, contact email@example.com. Greenway restoration days are made possible by generous support from the Kenton Conservancy and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
