Earth Calendar for May 2nd and 3rd
If you own an electric car or hybrid or are just interested in learning more about an eco-friendly alternative to conventional gas-fueled cars and their ecological footprints, Cincinnati's Electric Car Club invites you to their first meeting. Joining the club will allow you to meet other hybrid and plug-in electric enthusiasts to discuss what is possible for the newly formed group. The group is open to everyone, and is especially targeted to those who own hybrid or plug-in electric vehicles and want to network with other owners; those who are thinking about buying or building their own electric vehicle and want a support group; and those who want to help promote electric vehicles for all of their many benefits. On Thursday, May 10th, the group will meet at Cincinnati Hybrid at 5403 Madison Road in Cincinnati. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm with vehicles on display and a chance to talk with owners. At 7:00 pm, there will be a short presentation by Duke Energy on their electric fleet and charging infrastructure planning. At 7:30 pm, the meeting proper will begin and there will be discussion on where the group will go moving forward. To RSVP, contact Steve Johns and let them know if you will be bringing a vehicle for display.

Volunteers of all ages are needed to help pick up trash and debris along the banks. The event is being sponsored by the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO) and the Foundation for Ohio River Education (FORE). For more information, visit ORSANCO's website.
