Earth Calendar for March 19th and 20th

Boone County Arboretum currently has two 6-month student internships available for the season. Internships are available to college students studying horticulture, landscape architecture or closely related fields. Benefits of the internship include:

  • Unique training on the care and identification of thousands of plants that grow in our region
  • Extensive networking opportunities with regional green industry professionals
  • Opportunities to attend Arboretum educational programming
  • Visits to other arboreta and botanical gardens
  • And much more

Applicants must have some prior landscape maintenance experience as the positions work extensively in the care of the collections of the arboretum. Applications accepted at the Arboretum's website.

On Our Calendar
Granny's Garden School has established the Family Garden Project Kit. The kit is great for new or experienced gardeners. The contents of the kit vary from year to year depending on available resources. In an effort to encourage families to plant vegetables, flowers and other creative and fun landscape features, the kit always includes a selection of at least 20 varieties of vegetable and flower seeds and coupons for more free plants.
