Earth Calendar for January 29th and January 30th
Reforest Northern Kentucky is an annual, all-volunteer project organized by Northern Kentucky Urban & Community Forestry Council to restore native Kentucky woodlands.
The reforestation project is responsible for planting thousands of tree seedlings on public, protected previously mowed properties in Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties. Saturday, March 29th from 9:00 am till noon and registration is now open. Location is St. Anne Convent, located at 1000 St. Anne Drive in Melbourne, KY 41059.
Reforest Northern Kentucky is a successful, sustainable event with a proven track record. Over the last seven years, more than 28 acres of protected public park and school land have been planted with native woodland trees and nearly 2,000 volunteers have participated. Bring your friends, family and shovels to help make a difference by planting trees in your community. The first 200 volunteers will receive a FREE T-SHIRT! On Our Calendar: It's not trash... in your hands, it's art! Make beautiful Valentine's Day art with upcycled materials. Imago staff will be making upcycled cards, tags, gifts and more! All materials will be provided and snacks and drinks will be available! Imago's talented artists will teach you how to make origami flowers, stamps, heart crayons, wrapping paper, and sweater crafts.
