Earth Calendar for January 15th and January 16th
Start your new year off with healthy pets! The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center (ARC) is holding a Vaccination Clinic for pet owners who receive public assistance or unemployment benefits on Saturday, January 25th.
The clinic is made possible by an ASPCA Grant to Communities in Need. In an effort to keep pets in their homes and out of shelters, the ASPCA has awarded funding to the Animal Resource Center for the vaccination of cats and dogs whose owners cannot afford yearly routine vaccinations. The event will be held at The Animal Resource Center located at 6790 Webster St. Dayton, OH 45414 on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participating families must show proof of public assistance or unemployment. The co-pay is $5 for each dog or cat. Vaccinations are limited so pet owners are encouraged to reserve a time by contacting the ARC at (937) 898-4457 or e-mailing AnimalShelter@mcohio.org. Pre-registration closes Friday, January 24th, at Noon. Any spots that are not pre-registered will be available for walk-ins the day of the event.
On Our Calendar: Discover what makes owls such unique and efficient nocturnal hunters, Friday January 17th 6:30 pm at Sycamore Park. Participants will enjoy a fun evening hike on the trails while trying to lure in one of these night time predators for a closer look. Further details at the website.
