Earth Calendar for February 17th and February 18th
If you are part of a community council, school, neighborhood agency, or business in the Greater Cincinnati region, you can participate in the Great American Cleanup by planning a community cleanup or beautification project in your neighborhood.
Keep Cincinnati Beautiful offers cleanup supplies and logistical support for any event that takes place March through November. Visit the website to learn more. The Great American Cleanup is also a great opportunity to volunteer with your friends, family, and coworkers. KCB staff work with neighborhood leaders to coordinate all kinds of cleanup and beautification events and most are in need of helping hands. To give your time, visit the online event calendar for a list of upcoming projects. Events are added weekly, so if you don't see something in your neighborhood or on a date when you're available, keep checking back. For more information or questions, call the volunteer coordinator at (513) 352-4385.
On Our Calendar: The Clermont County General Health District will accept applications from county homeowners for the repair or replacement of failing household sewage disposal systems through February 24th. Grant funding is also available to connect eligible homes to public sewers. Eligible homes must be owner occupied and applicants must meet income and asset requirements. All property taxes and inspection fees must be current and there can be no judgments against the property. For additional information about funding for septic system rehabilitation, call (513) 732-7494 or visit the website.
