Dayton to Celebrate Women Artists with "SWAN DAY DAYTON 2013" this Saturday

“SWAN DAY DAYTON 2013” will be held at the Dayton Metro Library Main Branch on Saturday. The event celebrates women artists from across the region and features visual, performance, written and spoken works from the area’s leading female artists. Kim Gerhold is a rapper who will bring her own words to life with a slam-poetry session. Gerhold says it’s great to see women making a change in fields that have been traditionally male-dominated, “Swan Day really came about to honor women artists, not just for women, but just a special expression that helps promote and create change.” Events are scheduled throughout the day, for more information go to www.swandaydayton.blogspot.com/ .
