Agricultural Communities Provide Adults With Autism a Chance to Explore and Sense of Accomplishment

Nancy Bernotaitis of West Carrollton is in the process of raising the three-to-four million dollars it will take to open Ohio’s third agricultural community for adults with autism. She says the two existing programs; Bittersweet Farms in Toledo and Safe Haven Farm near Middletown have long waiting lists. Bernotaitis talked to WNKU’s Matt Kelley about why she got involved in the effort. (Get more information about Good Works Farm at www.goodworksfarm.org )
