2013 Top 89 Contest Rules
How to Enter
Submit entry starting at 12am on November 26, 2013. The contest will end at 12:00 am on December 18, 2013. All times are Eastern Time.
To participate in the contest, use the following method. All entries must include your first and last name, address, phone number, email address, and all other requested information:
Enter your top 5 picks by filling out our online form or sending a postcard to WNKU Top 89, 301 Landrum Academic Center, Highland Heights, KY 41099.
Contest is open to U.S. residents 18 years of age and older.
WNKU employees and their families are not eligible to enter any contest conducted by WNKU.
Limit one entry per person.
Duplicate entries will be discarded.
The Grand Prize - The Top 15 CDs of 2013 as determined by the final tally of votes by WNKU listeners and a complimentary membership in WNKU's CD of the Month Club.
Second Prize - One of twenty CD grab bags, each consisting of three to five CD's to be determined by our Music Director.
Selection of Winners
From all entries, one (1) entry will be chosen at random and announced as the grand prize prizewinner on the air and twenty (20) entries will be chosen at random and announced on the air as second prize or "grab bag" winners. Prizewinners will be announced on air during the playback of the top Top 89 CD's on January 2nd. Prizewinners need not listen or be present to win. WNKU will notify prizewinners by phone, mail or email. WNKU is not responsible for any mechanical telephone error, failure or omission; lost or misdirected mail, faxes or e-mail; neglect on the part of the US Postal Service; or e-mail service disruption.
If any prizewinners do not claim their prize within ten (10) business days after winners are announced, that contestant will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected in order from the alternate entries drawn.
WNKU reserves the right at any time to award prize to another eligible prizewinner drawn at random in the event prize, for any reason, cannot be utilized by the original prizewinner or in the event the original prizewinner does not meet eligibility requirements. If a prizewinner fails to accept the prize for any reason, no make-good prize will be awarded nor will there be replacements for the forfeited prize.
All decisions of station management with regard to the awarding of prize, the selection of prizewinner and the interpretation of these rules are final. Each entrant, by virtue of entering the contest, agrees to accept the decision of the station as final.
Prizewinner accepts responsibility for all taxes, tips and other liabilities. Prize is not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash.
By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to have his or her name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation.
By entering, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless WNKU and Northern Kentucky University, including all officers, directors, employees, volunteers and sponsors from any and all liability, loss, damage or injury resulting from participation in this promotion.
WNKU, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the WNKU website or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.
Right to Make Changes
WNKU reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.
No Purchase Required
There is no purchase or donation necessary. Void where prohibited.
WNKU is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize.
Copies of Contest Rules
Copies of the written contest rules will be available up to 30 days after the end of the contest. You may also receive the rules by mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to WNKU Contest Rules, 301 Landrum Academic Center, Highland Heights, KY, 41099.
