Clermont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will offer a free pond clinic for county residents at 6:00 p.m. April 14th at Pattison Park Lodge just west of Owensville on State Route 50. SWCD staff and a representative from Jones Fish Hatchery in Newtown will discuss pond construction, maintenance and safety.  

Ohio farmers have until March 20th to apply for financial assistance to improve natural resources on their land. The program through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program has been widely used in Ohio to improve natural resource concerns on cropland, pastureland, and forested land states. 

Starting this fall, every 4th-grader across the country will receive a family pass for one full year's free admission to all of our national parks, monuments, forests, wildlife refuges, and waterways.

This spring, The Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District will once again offer an hour-long Get the Dirt on Backyard Composting Seminar Series, focusing on the basics of backyard composting. 

The Emergency Management Agencies of Clermont and Brown Counties are co-hosting a weather spotter training workshop from 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 3rd at Western Brown High School, 524 W. Main St., Mount Orab, Ohio.
