" Cleveland, Ohio" – A report released by Case Western University School of Law professors, and the Columbus based think tank Innovation Ohio says that Issue three on the November ballot may have unintended consequences that they call "bad medicine". Sponsors say that the amendment will allow Ohioans to opt out of the Affordable Care Act. Highland Heights, Kentucky – The Cincinnati Art Museum has broken ground on a nearly $18 million project that will renovate the old Art Academy building for new uses. WNKU's Steve Hirschberg talked with art museum Director Aaron Betsky.
Cincinnati,OH – Cincinnati's largest park is celebrating its centennial this year and this past weekend the history of Mt. Airy Forest was remembered during a day-long festival. As Cheri Lawson reports, the park's legacy includes being one of the first urban reforestation projects.
"Atlanta, Ga." – A new nationwide study released by Dr. Kenneth Thorpe of Emory University in Atlanta, shows that Ohio has the second highest rate of increase in healthcare costs due to obesity in the country. Oklahoma was the only state to show higher rates. WNKU's Matt Kelley asked Doctor Thorpe why the problem is so prevalent in Ohio.
