Studies have shown that at least 75% of our waste could be recycled or composted. On April 2nd, thousands of students in schools across the country will aim to "recycle right" for four weeks during the 2012 Green Cup Recycle Challenge, a student-driven recycling competition for grades K-12 sponsored by the Green Schools Alliance. Every day, people can (and do) prevent poisonings. More than 2 million poisonings are reported each year to the 57 poison control centers across the country. More than 90% of those reported occur in the home. The majority of non-fatal poisonings occur in children younger than six years old. In addition, poisonings are one of the leading causes of death among adults. Wed, 14 Mar 2012 14:00:00 +0000 Kathy Costello 8372 at http://wnku.org Earth Calendar for March 14th and 15th
