Hal Holbrook Brings "Mark Twain Tonight" to Cincinnati

This Friday evening, acclaimed actor Hal Holbrook will bring his fabled "Mark Twain Tonight" show to the Aronoff Center in downtown Cincinnati. The 88-year-old Holbrook has been portraying the author and humorist for decades. Holbrook tells WNKU's Steve Hirschberg that he began doing Twain in New York when he was a struggling young actor who needed to put food on the table. Holbrook says someone suggested that he do Twain as a one-man show.

Dohoney Unveils New City Budget Proposal

Cincinnati City Manager Milton Dohoney has unveiled a revised budget package for fiscal year 2014, which begins July 1. Dohoney says the proposal contains many cuts. That's because the city must balance its budget without expected revenue from the parking lease deal, which is tied up in the courts. But, as the manager tells WNKU's Steve Hirschberg, some cuts would not be as drastic as anticipated.

New Tool to Revitalize Cincinnati Neighborhoods

Cincinnati City Council has approved what Vice Mayor Roxanne Qualls calls a new tool to revitalize neighborhoods and spur development. Qualls tells WNKU's Steve Hirschberg that the form-based zoning code is an alternative to traditional zoning.

UC Health Unveils Mobile Diagnostic Van

A 40-foot mobile diagnostic van will be on display today at the corner of Broadway and 4th Street in downtown Cincinnati. Western and Southern and the Barrett Cancer Center paid for the unit, which will soon go into service around the area. UC Health will operate the mobile unit. WNKU's Steve Hirschberg talked about the van with Tana Casper. She's an executive with the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Petopolis Pet Show Comes to Duke Energy Convention Center

Completed Hamilton County Home Foreclosures Rose in 2012

Last year, completed foreclosures in Hamilton County increased 45.2% from the previous year. That is the finding in the latest annual report compiled by Working in Neighborhoods, an agency that helps low and moderate income residents keep their homes and build their communities. Taft Museum of Art Displays Cincinnati Daguerrotypes
